Wall paint - Cane No. 53

Cane No. 53 – Colour Description

Cane is slightly less intense than India Yellow and a little cooler than Sand – a wonderfully earthy yellow tone that brings a surprising amount of brightness to artificial light.

A Tone from the Farrow & Ball Archive

Cane belongs to the Farrow & Ball archive colours: no longer in the current colour card, but still available in original quality. Every tin is mixed to order. Due to the high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight – softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine Like the Pros

The official complementary white for Cane is Lime White – ideal for ceilings, mouldings and adjacent surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Dorset Cream & Studio Green · Farrow's Cream & Ball Green · Calke Green & Railings.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the matching primer under Cane: Primer & Undercoat – Red & Warm Tones.
