Wall paint - Berrington Blue No. 14

Berrington Blue No. 14 – Colour Description

This greyish shade of blue originates from the dressing room at Berrington Hall in Herefordshire. A slightly more intense alternative to Oval Room Blue, its distinct dose of black pigment makes this blue a perfect colour for a living room where you want to retreat at the end of the day.

A tone from the Farrow & Ball Archive

Berrington Blue is one of the Farrow & Ball archive colours: no longer in the current colour card, but still available in original quality. Each tin is mixed to order. Due to the high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight – softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Berrington Blue is Shadow White – ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjacent areas. Farrow & Ball recommended colour schemes: Pale Powder & Dove Tale · Teresa's Green & Monkey Puzzle · Purbeck Stone & Mole's Breath.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer under Berrington Blue: Primer & Undercoat – Dark Tones.
