Wall paint - Railings No. 31

About Railings No. 31

Railings is a soft blue black that can appear more blue or more black depending on the light. It is a very popular choice for kitchen cabinets, to which it lends a modern look. It also works beautifully in smaller rooms when a bold and sophisticated shade is desired.

Colour effect & light

Railings envelops the room in dramatic depth: the ultimate choice for bold interiors. In smaller rooms or rooms with little daylight, it consciously creates an enveloping, intimate character. Combined with light-coloured textiles and warm lighting, it creates a real wow effect.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Railings is Blackened, which is ideal for ceilings, skirting boards and adjacent surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Blackened & Dimpse · Pavilion Gray & Manor House Gray · Kittiwake & Light Blue · Selvedge & De Nimes.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer for Railings: Primer & Undercoat Dark Tones.
