Wall paint - Inchyra Blue No. 289

About Inchyra Blue No. 289

Inchyra Blue was originally a bespoke color created for Inchyra House in Perthshire. This deep petrol shade is inspired by the wild, moody Scottish skies and is just as changeable as the weather: in certain light, it can appear blue, gray, or even green.

Color Impact & Light

Inchyra Blue gives rooms clarity and depth, ranging from a fresh coastal blue to an elegant evening mood. In smaller rooms or those with little natural light, it intentionally creates an enveloping, intimate character. Combined with light textiles and warm lighting, it creates a real "wow" effect.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Inchyra Blue is Drop Cloth, ideal for ceilings, moldings, and adjacent surfaces. Color schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Shaded White & Drop Cloth · Pavilion Gray & Manor House Gray · Light Blue & Down Pipe · Black Blue & Vardo.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinating primer for Inchyra Blue: Primer & Undercoat Dark Tones.
