Wall Paint - Brinjal No. 222

About Brinjal No. 222

Brinjal is a rich, deep violet inspired by the glossy skin of an aubergine. It has an impressive impact on woodwork when used in Farrow & Ball’s high-shine Full Gloss, but is also very elegant as a wall colour alongside the light grey Skimming Stone.

Colour Effect & Light

Brinjal makes a confident statement and reveals its full charm in the evening by candlelight or lamplight. In smaller rooms or areas with little natural light, it intentionally creates an enveloping, intimate character. Combined with light textiles and warm lighting, it creates a real wow effect.

Combine Like the Pros

The official complementary white for Brinjal is Skimming Stone, ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjacent areas. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: All White & Strong White · Elephant's Breath & Skimming Stone · Charleston Gray & Dove Tale · Pink Ground & Kittiwake.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer under Brinjal: Primer & Undercoat Dark Tones.

Coverage & Application

1 litre covers approx. 12 m² per coat; two coats are recommended. All Farrow & Ball paints are water-based, low-odour, and low-VOC (A+ indoor air quality). Tip: Use the sample pot (100 ml) to paint generous test patches on at least two walls, as every Farrow & Ball shade changes with the light.
