Ethnicraft is very committed to the most sustainable and natural production of its furniture possible. The self-coined keyword "emorational" aptly expresses the ambitious endeavor of the Belgian company: Rational in design, emotional in the – consistently natural – materials of teak, oak, mahogany, and walnut wood. Accordingly, conscientious material management is practiced in procurement – Ethnicraft relies on the recovery of solid wood, for example, from old buildings and houses. Thus, practically every piece of furniture is unique. Dimensions, coloring, and finishes may therefore vary minimally. In addition, Ethnicraft works with official government agencies to avoid endangering forest populations and strictly labels its furniture with the FSC logo, which is known for sustainable forestry.
