Wall paint - Stiffkey Blue No. 281

About Stiffkey Blue No. 281

Stiffkey Blue, which incidentally is pronounced 'stoo-kee', is inspired by the Norfolk beach of the same name, where the mud has a unique navy blue hue. It creates a wonderfully traditional feel in rooms, especially when used in conjunction with the light grey Ammonite on woodwork.

Colour Effect & Light

Stiffkey Blue adds clarity and depth to rooms, ranging from a fresh coastal blue to an elegant evening atmosphere. In smaller rooms or those with little daylight, it intentionally creates an enveloping, intimate character. Combined with light-coloured textiles and warm lighting, it creates a real wow effect.

Combine like a pro

The official complementary white for Stiffkey Blue is Ammonite, which is ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjacent surfaces. Farrow & Ball recommended colour schemes: Wevet & Ammonite · Cornforth White & Purbeck Stone · Mole's Breath & Off-Black · Calluna & Brassica.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer for Stiffkey Blue: Primer & Undercoat Dark Tones.
