Wall paint - Eating Room Red No. 43

About Eating Room Red No. 43

Eating Room Red is a deep, soot-blackened burgundy red that owes its name to traditional dining rooms. It was very popular in the mid-19th century, when it was frequently used in the form of damask wallpapers.

Color Impact & Light

Eating Room Red makes a confident statement and reveals its full charm in the evening by candlelight and lamplight. In smaller rooms or with little natural light, it deliberately creates an enveloping, intimate character. Combined with light-colored textiles and warm lighting, it creates a real wow effect.

Combine Like the Pros

The official complementary white for Eating Room Red is Dimity, ideal for ceilings, moldings, and adjacent surfaces. Color schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Dimity & Pink Ground · Stony Ground & Dead Salmon · Green Smoke & Hague Blue · Stirabout & Treron.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer under Eating Room Red: Primer & Undercoat Dark Tones.
