Wall paint - Lancaster Yellow No. 249

Lancaster Yellow No. 249 – Colour Description

A fresh, light yellow. This light yellow is named in honour of Nancy Lancaster. She was an influential British interior designer who played a significant role in making yellow rooms incredibly popular in the 20th century.

A tone from the Farrow & Ball Archive

Lancaster Yellow is part of the Farrow & Ball archive collection: no longer in the current colour card, but still available in its original quality. Each tin is mixed to order. Due to the high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight – softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Lancaster Yellow is All White – ideal for ceilings, mouldings and adjacent surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: House White & Cooking Apple Green.
