Archive No. 227 – Colour Description

Archive is a more intense and warmer version of Joa's White from the red-based neutral family. Some people call it taupe; it is a colour that feels slightly cleaner than Oxford Stone and fills rooms with a warm glow.

A Tone from the Farrow & Ball Archive

Archive is one of Farrow & Ball’s Archive colours: no longer in the current colour card, but still available in its original quality. Each tin is mixed to order. Due to the high level of pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight – softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Coverage & Application
