Wall paint - Matchstick No. 2013

About Matchstick No. 2013

Matchstick is a simple shade inspired quite literally by a matchstick. The colour of unbleached wood is warm, but not overly creamy, creating a fresh feel in bright rooms. You can use Matchstick effectively in combination with lighter shades of off-white like New White and White Tie.

Colour Effect & Light

Matchstick brings calm and spaciousness to any room and forms the perfect base for changing decor. Due to its high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine Like the Pros

The official complementary white for Matchstick is White Tie, ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjacent surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: White Tie & New White · String & Cord · Light Gray & Mouse's Back · Card Room Green & Studio Green.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends using the matching primer under Matchstick: Primer & Undercoat White & Light Tones.

Coverage & Application

1 litre covers approximately 12 m² per coat; two coats are recommended. All Farrow & Ball paints are water-based, low-odour, and low-emission (A+ indoor air quality). Tip: Use the sample pot (100 ml) to paint generous test patches on at least two walls, as every Farrow & Ball tone changes with the light.
