Wall paint - Light Gray No. 17

About Light Gray No. 17

The name "Light Gray" was first used in the 9th century to describe colors, making it one of the oldest inspirations for a Farrow & Ball paint. It has a slight green undertone, which ensures it perfectly complements Farrow & Ball's traditional neutrals.

Color Impact & Light

Light Gray settles over walls like a warm, stony veil, instantly making rooms feel more livable. Due to its high pigmentation, the shade changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine Like the Pros

The official complementary white for Light Gray is Slipper Satin, ideal for ceilings, moldings, and adjacent surfaces. Color schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Green Smoke & Stiffkey Blue · Slipper Satin & Lime White · Off-White & Old White · Mouse's Back & Tanner's Brown.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer for Light Gray: Primer & Undercoat Mid Tones.
