Wall paint - Lulworth Blue No. 89

About Lulworth Blue No. 89

Lulworth Blue is a colour that could also be found in palettes from the Regency era. For us, however, it is intended to evoke the landscape around our home, the Jurassic Coast in the south of England. Radiant and peaceful as it is, it is well-suited for a bright and airy bedroom.

Colour Effect & Light

Lulworth Blue gives rooms clarity and depth, ranging from a fresh coastal blue to an elegant evening mood. Due to its high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Lulworth Blue is Blackened, ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjacent areas. Farrow & Ball recommended colour schemes: Picture Gallery Red & Hague Blue · Pointing & Dimity · Joa's White & Oxford Stone · Wine Dark & Kittiwake.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends using the coordinated primer under Lulworth Blue: Primer & Undercoat Mid Tones.

Coverage & Application

1 litre covers approx. 12 m² per coat; two coats are recommended. All Farrow & Ball paints are water-based, low-odour and low-VOC (A+ indoor air quality). Tip: Use the sample pot (100 ml) to paint generous sample areas on at least two walls, as every Farrow & Ball tone changes with the light.
