Wall paint - Ammonite No. 274

About Ammonite No. 274

Ammonite is a delicate light grey, named after the fossils often found on the beaches of Dorset. It is neither too warm nor too cool, making it a versatile choice for any room in the home. You can pair it with All White for a fresh, crisp look, or combine it with other grey shades from our subtle neutrals collection to create a monochrome scheme.

Colour Effect & Light

Ammonite brings a sense of calm and spaciousness to any room, serving as the perfect backdrop for changing interior styles. Due to its high level of pigmentation, the shade shifts with the changing daylight: softer in the morning and deeper in the evening.

Expert Colour Combinations

The official complementary white for Ammonite is Wevet, which is ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjoining surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: All White & Wevet · Strong White & Cornforth White · Purbeck Stone & Mole's Breath · Off-Black & Stiffkey Blue.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the following coordinated primer for Ammonite: Primer & Undercoat White & Light Tones.
