Our traditional mid-gray.

The most traditional blue-gray on our color chart was created when a white room was discolored by the candle soot of an oil lamp. Lamp Room Gray creates a softer and more vibrant look than Pavilion Gray, yet retains its timeless effect. In smaller rooms, it appears surprisingly strong. The better the room is lit, the softer Lamp Room Gray becomes in its intensity.

HOW MUCH PAINT DO I NEED?

How much Farrow & Ball paint you need depends entirely on the chosen finish. In general, both finishes (both Estate Emulsion and Modern Emulsion) differ little in terms of opacity and color brilliance. However, the following overview is suitable as a conservative guideline for the amount of paint required:

Finish ESTATE EMULSION:

The "Estate Emulsion" wall paint from Farrow & Ball is characterized by a high pigment density. It uses resin, a very high-quality binder that is rarely found in conventional paints. 

This means that the paint has a much more intense effect compared to many commercially available wall paints. The high paint quality also leads to extremely high coverage. Farrow & Ball has all paints traditionally produced and quality-checked in their factory in England. 

Finish MODERN EMULSION:

The "Modern Emulsion" water-based wall paint from Farrow & Ball attracts attention with its high resistance to the challenges of modern life. Stains, abrasions, and marks are no problem for this paint finish. Thus, the Modern Emulsion finish represents a grateful alternative to the Estate Emulsion and can ideally be applied in kitchens, children's rooms, and other more heavily used rooms.
