COLOR DESCRIPTION

A deep gray.

This color is reminiscent of city suits made from worsted fabric, named after the village in Norfolk where this yarn was originally spun. For followers of our neutral Easy Greys family, this color has a stronger tone than its counterpart Purbeck Stone, but is lighter than Mole's Breath. It is the perfect background to make pure accent colors stand out.

HOW MUCH PAINT DO I NEED?

How much Farrow & Ball paint you need depends entirely on the chosen finish. In general, both finishes (both Estate Emulsion and Modern Emulsion) are similar in terms of opacity and color brilliance. However, the following overview is a conservative guideline for the required amount of paint:

Finish ESTATE EMULSION:

The "Estate Emulsion" wall paint from Farrow & Ball is characterized by a high pigment density. It uses resin, a very high-quality binder that is rarely found in conventional paints. 

This results in the paint having a much more intense effect compared to many commercially available wall paints. The high paint quality also leads to extremely high coverage. Farrow & Ball has all paints traditionally produced and quality-checked in their factory in England. 

Finish MODERN EMULSION:

The "Modern Emulsion" water-based wall paint from Farrow & Ball attracts attention with its high resistance to the challenges of modern life. Stains, scuffs and marks are no problem for this paint finish. This makes the Modern Emulsion finish a grateful alternative to Estate Emulsion and can ideally be applied in kitchens, children's rooms and other heavily used areas.
