Wall Paint - Stony Ground No. 211

About Stony Ground No. 211

Stony Ground was originally a popular wallpaper color at Farrow & Ball and is now a popular addition to the palette of neutral colors. It is a traditional stony beige with a hint of red, which gives it a subtle warmth and distinct depth.

Color effect & light

Stony Ground spreads over the walls like a warm, stony veil, making rooms instantly more livable. Due to its high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Stony Ground is School House White, ideal for ceilings, moldings, and adjacent surfaces. Color schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Shaded White & School House White · Blue Gray & Mizzle · Mouse's Back & Light Gray · De Nimes & Railings.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer under Stony Ground: Primer & Undercoat Mid Tones.

Coverage & application

1 liter is sufficient for approx. 12 m² per coat; two coats are recommended. All Farrow & Ball paints are water-based, low-odor, and low-emission (A+ indoor air quality). Tip: Use the sample pot (100 ml) to paint generous test patches on at least two walls, because every Farrow & Ball tone changes with the light.
