Wall paint - St Giles Blue No. 280

About St Giles Blue No. 280

St Giles Blue is one of Farrow & Ball's most intense blues and a firm favourite in our colour palette. Discovered in the 17th-century St Giles House near our home in Dorset, it is just as suitable for modern homes. It brings a cheerful presence to any room.

Colour impact & light

St Giles Blue gives rooms clarity and depth, ranging from a fresh coastal blue to an elegant evening mood. Due to its high pigmentation, the shade changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for St Giles Blue is Ammonite, ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjoining surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Cabbage White & All White · Pale Powder & Calluna · Stiffkey Blue & Railings.

The right primer
