Wall Paint - Elephant's Breath No. 229

About Elephant's Breath No. 229

Elephant's Breath is a typical Farrow & Ball colour. This applies to both the name and the colour itself. Our widely popular mid-grey with its very subtle lilac undertone is showcased best in cooler light. Combine it in a harmonious colour scheme with Charleston Gray and London Clay, and you will be rewarded with an uncomplicated and cool look.

Colour Effect & Light

Elephant's Breath settles over walls like a warm, stony veil, instantly making rooms feel more homely. Due to its high pigmentation, the shade changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Elephant's Breath is Strong White, ideal for ceilings, mouldings and adjacent surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: All White & Strong White · Skimming Stone & Dove Tale · London Clay & Charleston Gray · Wine Dark & Bamboozle.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer for Elephant's Breath: Primer & Undercoat Mid Tones.
