Wall paint - Drop Cloth No. 283

About Drop Cloth No. 283

Drop Cloth is a grey beige (often called "greige") that pays homage to our professional painters. It owes its name to the essential drop cloth and is just as useful in our colour palette: it forms the perfect neutral base for lighter tones like Shaded White or Shadow White.

Colour Effect & Light

Drop Cloth drapes over walls like a warm, stony veil, instantly making rooms feel more homely. Due to its high pigmentation, the tone changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the Pros

The official complementary white for Drop Cloth is School House White, ideal for ceilings, mouldings, and adjoining surfaces. Colour schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: Shaded White & Shadow White · Light Gray & Blue Gray · Lichen & Vert de Terre · Railings & Babouche.

The Right Primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinated primer for Drop Cloth: Primer & Undercoat Mid Tones.
