Wall paint - Dix Blue No. 82

About Dix Blue No. 82

Dix Blue is a vintage blue with a generous dose of green and black pigments. This gives the shade its complex, slightly aged appearance. It owes its name to one of the first Farrow & Ball stockists in the east of England.

Color effect & light

Dix Blue lends rooms clarity and depth, from a fresh coastal blue to an elegant evening mood. Due to its high pigmentation, the shade changes with the daylight: softer in the morning, deeper in the evening.

Combine like the pros

The official complementary white for Dix Blue is Wevet, ideal for ceilings, moldings, and adjacent surfaces. Color schemes recommended by Farrow & Ball: School House White & Pointing · Shaded White & Drop Cloth · Vardo & London Clay · Farrow's Cream & Cooking Apple Green.

The right primer

For optimal coverage and durability, Farrow & Ball recommends the coordinating primer for Dix Blue: Primer & Undercoat Mid Tones.
