Which parquet is right for you?

Light parquet makes rooms appear larger and airier and goes well with the Scandinavian style.
Natural-colored parquet highlights the original grain of the wood and brings warmth to any interior.
Grey-toned parquet looks modern and calm; dark parquet provides elegant contrasts to light-colored walls and furniture.
Large-format planks emphasize the spaciousness of large rooms, while medium planks appear balanced even in smaller rooms.
Vintage parquet with vivid knots, color variations, and a textured surface adds character to old buildings and lofts.

Buying parquet: What you should keep in mind

Construction: Multi-layer parquet consists of a wear layer of premium wood on a cross-glued support structure. This means it warps less than solid wood and remains more dimensionally stable.
Wear layer: The thicker the wear layer, the more often the floor can be sanded and refurbished. The thickness is listed on every product page.
Surface: Oiled parquet has a naturally matte look and can be partially repaired; lacquered parquet is particularly low-maintenance and resistant to stains.
Underfloor heating: Multi-layer parquet is generally suitable for underfloor heating; details and installation instructions can be found with each product. As a rule of thumb, the surface temperature should not exceed 27 °C.
Quantity: Plan for 5–10% extra for waste – or more if installing diagonally or in rooms with awkward angles.
Installation direction: Planks laid parallel to the incoming light make joints less noticeable; laid lengthways, they visually stretch narrow rooms.

Caring for your parquet

Vacuum or sweep regularly and wipe only with a damp cloth using a suitable parquet cleaner. Felt glides under chair and table legs protect against scratches, and a doormat at the entrance keeps sand away. An indoor climate of about 30–60% relative humidity is good for wooden floors. Oiled floors occasionally need a refresh with maintenance oil.
