Which extension mechanism suits you?

Insert leaf: The table halves are pulled apart and a separate leaf is inserted. Plan for storage space for the leaf if it is not stored within the table – ideally in the same room so that it is exposed to the same ambient climate as the table.
Swivel mechanism: With models like Stromboli from Akante, the extensions are integrated underneath the tabletop and emerge with a swiveling motion – one person can handle this alone.
Attachable leaves: Extension leaves are attached to the ends, while the center of the tabletop remains continuous.
Rule of thumb: Each extension of around 60 cm adds about one seat per long side. Measure beforehand to ensure that the full length, including the chairs, fits into the room.
